Die Evolution unserer nationalen Identität
Buchprojekt seit Anfang 2010

Mein vorrangiges Projekt ist derzeit die Arbeit und Recherche für ein Buch. Thema ist die heute oft verdrängte, seelische Dimension eines nationalkulturellen Kollektivs. Arbeitstitel des Bandes: “Transpatriotisch. Von der Evolution unserer nationalen Identität”.

Mein Blick liegt vor allem auf der bewussten Erfahrung der “national-seelischen Prägung”, der jeder einzelne von uns mehr oder minder unterliegt. Ich will das evolutionäre Potential sichtbar machen, dass durch die Integration sowohl der seelischen Qualitäten als auch der Schatten der eigenen Kultur ausgelöst wird. Dieser individuelle wie kollektive Prozess bildet vielleicht erst die Voraussetzung dafür, dass sich Nationen wie Individuen mit anderen nachhaltig auf höherer Ebene verbinden können. Das gilt gleichermassen für Europa wie für eine am Horizont auftauchende, weltzentrische Perspektive. 

Das Buchprojekt ist inspiriert durch Sri Aurobindos Hinweise auf die “Seelen der Nationen” sowie durch meine Erfahrungen im Rahmen der Pavillon-Gruppe von Auroville Deutschland. Die Internationale Zone in Auroville, der künftige Schauplatz nationaler “Seelenpavillons”, ist (nicht nur) nach meiner Einschätzung der bisher am wenigsten entwickelte Teil der aurovilianischen Vision.  

Ich widme dieses Buch also nicht nur meinen deutschen und europäischen Zeitgenossen, sondern ich wende mich damit auch an die Pioniere der Internationalen Zone mit der Einladung zu seelischen Entdeckungsreisen im Vorfeld der Pavillonbauten .  

Ich kann mich dem Schreiben des auf ca. eineinhalb Jahre veranschlagten Buchprojektes nur mit Unterstützung widmen. Der Verein Auroville International Deutschland möchte dieses Vorhaben fördern und (steuerlich absetzbare) Spenden für das Projekt weiterleiten. Ich werde dabei unter anderem Aurovilles Internationale Zone vorstellen und über die - meist unvermutete - Bereicherung beim Erfahren unserer kulturellen Seelendimension erzählen.

 

 

Discovering and Integrating our National Soul

My writing project takes an indepth look at the often suppressed psychic or soul dimension of national collective entities .The working title of this book: “ The Evolution of National Identities”.

My focus is on making conscious how the national soul of one's country of birth creates a personal imprint, which each of us is subject to and is often acting from unconsciously. I would like to bring the evolutionary potential home, which is released by the integration both of the soul qualities and the clearing of the shadow of our native cultures. This is a process for individuals and collectives alike and it may turn out to be a precondition for a sustainable union of nations, communities, and individuals.

 The writing project is inspired by Sri Aurobindo´s visions with regards to the “Souls of Nations”. And it´s also motivated by my personal experiences in the “Pavilion Group” of AVI Germany. The International Zone in Auroville, the emerging venue of national “Soul-Pavilions”, is according to my humble view the least developed part of the Aurovilian vision so far.

 Therefore I am dedicating this book both to interested members of contemporary nations and to the pioneers of the International Zone. This book is also an invitation for the latter to make inner national soul expeditions prior to the construction of the pavilions.

 However I need support for writing this book, which will take me about 15 months. Substantial donors and supporters will be mentioned in the Forword.
